Oct 8, 2012 10:32 AM in response to darryllphby KliftonianInstitute,This seemed to work for me... I rebooted the iPad and then a message came up that said I needed to sign the new iTunes agreement. After agreeing with it, all my updates and downloads worked. I hope your situation is similar to that.

Oct 8, 2012 7:47 PM in response to boltondby Geeking Tom,Ok, this worked for me tonight when I had the issue.
1. Go to Settings -> iTunes & App Store
2. Turn off Automatic Downloads for both Music and Apps
3. Tap Apple ID
4. Tap Sign Out in the window that pops up.
5. Launch App Store from the home screen
6. The App Store should now launch.
7. Select 'Updates'
8. Select 'Update All'
9. You should be asked for your Apple ID Password.
10. Enter Password. This should resign you into the appstore and start download updates.
11. (optional) Go turn Automatic Downloads back on.
Hope this helps some people.

Oct 9, 2012 1:55 PM in response to boltondby Trouble217,Same issue. Can't connect to iTunes or apps stores. Was fine until IOS6.0. Tried the date thing, the steps listed by Geeking Tom, reset my wireless network, the whole 9 yards and remain unable to connect and increasingly annoyed. Am I missing something?

Oct 10, 2012 4:48 AM in response to Trouble217by informed-direct,Having managed to avoid Apple products for nearly all of my professional life, I've just bought at iPad at work and had the same problem. Boy did it make me smile because I've been told continually that Apple kit is *so* easy to use ;-) First thing I had to learn was how to shutdown apps!
Trying to install apps and the year fudge works but keep having to do it per app. Is this expected or is there something else I can do as a permanent fix?
Cheers, Rob.

Oct 10, 2012 6:01 PM in response to darryllphby AmyOnline56,I could neither update nor purchase. I had to set the year all they way to 2022, and one day ahead for good measure. I shut down and restarted, tried opening the Apps Store, which protested and did not open properly. Then I manually reset to today and both updates and original installs are working. So far...

Oct 13, 2012 10:33 PM in response to boltondby Kyipad2,Settings > wifi then click the arrow next to your wifi then change DNS to 8.8.8.8 this work trust me I tried everything nothing worked but this. After go to the App Store and you will have to accept terms and conditions . I been without the App Store for 2 or 3 weeks. I now have to update 30 apps ✌ your welcome.

Oct 14, 2012 11:14 AM in response to boltondby Jpmcnamara75,Im having the same issue as Ivanzo. I can get into the App Store just fine, and can see Genius and Purchased and they work just fine in iTunes. Music, Charts and Audiobooks have a blank white screen, and TV Shows and Movies a dark grey screen. I've tried the date change, log out, 8.8.8.8 etc and nothing has worked. I am running ios 6. I should also point out that my wife and daughter are both running ios6 on their ipads as well, same wifi network, same login, etc. and both of theirs works just fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
