Oct 31, 2012 10:49 PM in response to boltondby Soulfiremage,I've written back to support. The problem re appears and I'm totally fed up of wasting precious time on it.
The iPad itself is great for my browsing, reading needs. I've quit trying to use the apps store as its too frustrating.
It's actually, to me, unforgivable in software terms, to still have this problem. The only source to get apps has barriers to trade built in, via ios6? Sorry Apple, it worked in ios5, so whatever you did, it's wrong. As a result I'm certainly no longer interested in fighting with it.
How many others will quit too? Maybe too few for it to be fixed.
New os's should be faster and stabler. This is neither.

Nov 7, 2012 7:09 AM in response to Soulfiremageby BooMeR0711,Agreed.
I have tried all of the "fixes" without positive results.
Was thinking about updating to the newest iPad this Xmas; however, with this problem and lack of a solution from Apple, I WILL move to a alternate product.
APPLE THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! Shame on you!

Nov 9, 2012 5:27 AM in response to Drumersgrlby vfcc91,The date fix is the only one that worked for me. I had to go forward as far as I could with a valid date (2038) and back down one year at a time until it worked.

Nov 9, 2012 6:28 AM in response to vfcc91by jod-zeee,I had the problem last night on my iPad2, then later on my iPhone (it had worked previously in the day). I tried some fixes mentioned in other posts and they didn't work.
All is fine on both this morning. Seems to be a glitch on Apple's end, just a little patience was all I needed.

Nov 9, 2012 11:46 AM in response to BooMeR0711by grobbins,On the iPad Mini, I couldn't search for any apps without getting an error. The temporary date change solution didn't work for me. What finally did was a variation on this earlier advice:
* Under Settings/iTunes & App Stores
* Ensure you're first logged in (you see an apple ID)
* Touch the ID
* Select "View Apple ID"
* Select Country/Region to change your country. I don't think it matters which you go to (temporarily).
* I tried another country, it rejected some values, I went back and selected the US again, finished the settings.
* Quit and restarted App Store, and it worked.
Thanks

Nov 10, 2012 1:06 AM in response to grobbinsby RupertHawkes,Attempting to set the iTunes I'd to a different country fixed it for me. For a while at least then it screwed up. Again. However attempting to set the apple I'd country again fixed it once more.
I do wonder if apple is aware of the possible scale and aggravation this is causing

Nov 10, 2012 5:58 AM in response to boltondby wade0955,Ok, I tried all the date change suggestions and nothing worked. As dumb as it sounds, I tried turning off my wifi, then turning it back on, and voila the App Store worked! Give it a try.

Nov 14, 2012 1:04 PM in response to wade0955by lkcsc,I am just so, so annoyed. I've spent all afternoon trying to connect to the iTunes store and I still get the same message about not being able to connect. I am totally fed up. My once loved, perfect phone is now an object for scorn.

Nov 15, 2012 11:37 AM in response to lkcscby hebsevenfour,Same here, and am pretty ****** off with it all. Can't sign in on Mac, iPhone or iPad, on either WiFi or 3G, with either US or UK account.
