    frankpgh,

My experience with andriod devices has actually been quite the opposite, and bug fixes in my opinion with Apple have usually been handled fairly quickly... That obviously doesn't apply to this case though, and I can agree that the fact that a work-around has been the common fix for many months is quite ridiculous.

Still, you say "unresolved for years" as if this exact problem has been around that long - has it? I was under the impression that this was newly introduced by 6.0? If it has in fact been going on that long, I'll gladly hop on board your bandwagon of poor design and development claims.

    @BooMeR0711

You're right that it *should* not have bugs. The reality is, EVERY new major release of a phone OS - whether iOS, Android, or any other - comes with major re-disigns in place that always introduce new bugs to some degree.

I'm not defending Apple for having a bug in their software, or a network problem, or whatever is at fault. It's their fault and responsibility, and they need to get it fixed. I'm saying that it's *unrealistic* to expect there to be NO problems with how the device operates, and you're going to be unhappy with ANY device you buy if you approach things with that attitude.

Also... If you're saying that this EXACT problem has been around since before 6.0, feel free to disregard my comments completely.

Just now saw a few newer previous posts - looks like DNS is in fact the cause (so possibly an issue on Apple's store server side?)

Added google DNS (8.8.8.8) to my network settings, and that cleared things up! Thanks for the input.

    Hello JIm,

Yes this has been around before 6.0 as I am stuck with 5 with my iPad One. The DNS fix did not work for me. I had to use the date fix by starting out as far as I could go, then setting the year back by one until I finally found a year that worked. Crazy!

I adm my wife have Ipad 2 devices.

A- She has IPad 2 with IOS 4.3.2 - Everything working Fine !!

    B- My Ipad 2 has IOS 6.0.1  -  since I Put IOS 6.0  and 6.0.1  problems started !!

PROBLEM A  -  CANNOT CONNECT TO ITUNES STORE

PROBLEM B  -  VERY VERY SLOW TO BROWSE INTERNET IN SAFARI

PROBLEM C - LAGS IN SEVERAL SCREENS - APPLE STORE, ETC

Conclusion: It´s a BIG Bug In IOS 6.0 and IOS 6.0.1

I already made all steps Apple advise me (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398)

None have worked in IOS 6 - sometimes It works,  But stops Again.

APPLE - Please stop telling that the problems are in Wifi Routers.

From the information above, the problems are just in IOS 6.x, and Apple MUST FIX IT !

I am very disappointed with Apple.   Soon I will be in a Android device.

My god, i had to come back to this stupid discussion to figure out how to stop getting email updates from it because iOS 6 has everyone and their mom here due to experiencing this stupid problem and it's blowing up my mailbox. APPLE, JUST QUIT BEING A BAG OF ***** AND LET US INSTALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF iOS UNTIL YOU GET YOUR **** TOGETHER AND GET THIS FIXED! From a business prospective, fixing the app store issue should be priority one! People use the app store because they want to give you more money, morons. What could you idiots be working on that is more important than patching this problem?

What could they be working on that is more important than keeping their customer base in and connected to the store?

Or just overall making their expensive products work desirably.

    I agree Marszilla.

I have tried evrything to get my ipad to work.

Tried every reset. Still can not connect to to itunes store, Can not get my music transferd back from computer to ipad either. Got all my APPs back.

Also having problems connecting to web sites. Very slow and does not connect. If I shut it down and reboot it may work for a couple of web site searches than back to the old thing.

Seams everytime Apple does an update things do not work as wwell as before.

Right now I would like to use the ipad for target practice.

Yes my WiFi is working. Even did a reboot on it. My Computer,s and iphone connect to it no problem.

Beleave this will be the LAST Apple produt we buy. My wife has an ipad also. with some conn. issues at times.

    Very unhappy Apple owners.

I had the "Cannot connect to iTunes store" error while trying to update apps on my iPad 1(iOS 5.1.1). I tried the date fix and a few other fixes I found. Eventually I came to realize that I always got the error when I used the "Update All" button. I went to update my apps individually and had NO problems whatsoever.

I repaced my New WiFi Router with the old one. Everything working as it should from Itunes and APP store.

Not sure why as everything was working after setting the new router for months.

So I was able to get all my stuff back from iCloud.

Now to figure out why I can get my APPs from my computer but not all my music I put on it. I have over 1800 songs I loaded from my CD's and old records.

The progress bar at bottom will show all APPs and music. when I sync. the music all disappears.
