Aug 27, 2012 11:13 AM in response to Drumersgrlby ErikWern,THANKS Drumergrl. Solution #7 worked for me. It was the first solution I tried.
I happened to be in Europe when I tried to update a language translation program last Wednesday.
When I got back to US, still got the unable to reach itunes store message.
My country setting was still set for US, but I followed the steps you outlined. After doing shutdown, I was able to load the update. MANY thanks again.

Aug 28, 2012 3:27 AM in response to boltondby Pat8118,THANKS Drumergrl. I had tried up to 2020 and gave up. Then came across this forum and gave 2024 a go and it worked!!.
Good Grief, I wasted so..........much time trying all the different solutions described in the different forums - so glad I did not give up on this one. Thanks again.

Aug 29, 2012 9:02 PM in response to boltondby dwsrva,Had to move the date as far forward as possible for it to work-- but finally did. Kudos!

Aug 30, 2012 3:43 AM in response to boltondby oceanguy,I had this same problem. I moved the date forward 2 days to September 1 and voila! Problem solved.
It had nothing to do with my wi-fi since all of my other apps connected to the Internet worked perfectly fine.

Sep 1, 2012 6:23 PM in response to boltondby tagood7,Yes I gave up. I am now just getting the updates in iTunes and syncing. I called apple support and of course they claim there is nothing in their records of any such problem. He did say it could be from the updates they are doing for the new iOS and maybe it might self correct after the release. Funny thing is my iPhone has no problem at all with this.
