Initially I thought that there was a hardware problem.
Today I simply rebooted my mac book pro and then it WORKS !!!!!
Conclusion: It is a software / driver problem.

Mar 30, 2015 1:05 PM in response to Tony34by PCGWorld,Thanks Tony34. It worked for me also.
I had a Logitech Bluetooth Wireless Key Board and I was also running a JBL Bluetooth Speaker. My Bluetooth deactivated on my MacBook Pro(early 2008). Shut it down, held the power button for 20 seconds. The White LED blinked, I let it go. It restarted my MacBook Pro, and viola my bluetooth is activated.
Thank you sir.

Jul 20, 2015 3:57 PM in response to Tony34by Las Vegas Jimmy,I don't know which MBP you are using, but this does nothing for the 15" Mid-2009 MBP. I have tried every post I can find, including this one, to no avail.

Oct 13, 2015 12:14 PM in response to DJ RDLby efierro,Easy fix worked for me as well, El Capitan on a MacBook Pro 2014 15".
Bluetooth would not be found by any other devices, logged in as guest and Bluetooth connectivity worked again. Switched back to my regular session and it continued working fine, headset paired and working.
thanks!

Apr 20, 2016 4:41 AM in response to amyfromvictoriaby RonnyBoy83,it would be much much easier if we could get solutions\answers to problems associated with macbook pro or anything that has to do with apple if it were the people working at apple themselves giving us the answers we need. the apple community sorry to say it suck! its basically a page in which one would hope to find the solution of a problem through somebody that by chance and by trying managed to find the solution himself. the bluetooth on my macbook still ain't working sometimes it comes to work again all suddenly and then it stop working again. it's really frustrating and it ****** me off considering that i had to pay £ 1.499 for this computer. It should be flawless in my opinion. Locating the file named "com.apple.Bluetooth.plist” and deleting it didn't solve the problem.

May 18, 2016 8:18 AM in response to sc0007by chrstnprice,SC007's post worked. Did not remove any batter however. Followed all steps, unplug everything and USB, and then shut down by holding power button for 10 seconds, wait 2 minutes to turn back on, and worked like a charm!
Thank you.

May 27, 2016 4:11 PM in response to fir3murd3r3rby davidbypb,Hey guys
Not sure if this will help your specific situation but here's what MY problem was.
My wacom Intous tablet was connected to an unpowered USB hub.
It worked for most activities but apparently conflicted or unpowered the Bluetooth somehow.I don't know how. I don't even know if this is REALLY the problem, but it worked for me.
Try unplugging your USB and Thunderbolt peripherals until Bluetooth works again!
Good luck
D
