cursor disappears in Supreme Commander

Just installed Boot Camp and a fresh install of 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium on a MacBookPro Retina. Using Steam, downloaded and installed Supreme Commander and Supremen Commander - Forged Alliance. (Had been using a 2011 MacBook Pro with Boot Camp and the same games just fine for the past year.) The games launch, but once I get to a screen with menus (create user profile, start game, inside game) there is no visible cursor.

Does not matter if I use the trackpad or a USB Microsoft Mouse.

I can play Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 3 just fine, using either the trackpad or the Microsoft Mouse. Using the same 30" Apple Display Cinema that I've had for years and a small wired Apple keyboard (without the keypad). The only change is my hardware 2011 MacBook Pro (with 512GB SSD and 8 GB RAM) vs 2012 MacBookPro Retina (with 768GB SSD and 16 GB RAM).

Tried playing with mouse and trackpad settings in Windows. Tried adding various options to the shortcut found on various discussion boards. Tried changing settings in the shortcut (such as "run as Admin", "use XP compatibility mode" and "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"). Nothing has worked.

I suspect this is a hardware/Boot Camp driver issue since the only thing that changed is the box.

Any other suggestions?

Try to go to the options within the game and go to the video tab.

select "windowed" at the primary adapter. This worked for me.

good luck.

Thanks! That solved the problem. I can now play in full-screen mode both Suprement Commander and Suprement Commander: Forged Alliance.

Strange that this is the first MacBookPro to exhibit that "problem." I've used about every other (or three) generation of MBP's with BootCamp to play SupremeCommander:Forged Alliance and this is the first one that didn't just work.
