The print dialog box on MacBook pro is too large with the print button in the dock. Is there a way to re-size the box? The only way to print is to put the dock on the left or right sides. Prefer it at the bottom.

I meant that the dialog box is so big that it extends to the bottom of the screen. The 'print' and 'cancel' button overlay the dock thus making it impossible to click on either. What I need to do is make the entire dialog box smaller.

The size of the dialogue depends on the printer. If you have lots of options the dialogue box will be large.
Click on that triangle to condense the print dialogue.
That's why I pictured the dialogue box.
