Q: can ipad 3 use hotspot from a droid?

So I have an iPad. I also have an EVO 4G LTE. I have hotspot on my phone which when activated, iPad will connect to it. However, when I try to use the internet, it says I am not connected to the internet even though I have wireless bars. Is it possible to use iPad with droid hotspot or is it only compatible with apple products?

No I use my hotspot from my windows phone(tmobile).

I also have connected to another hotspot. Just a little pocket hotspot. It can be done fine. I think it's something with your droid or plan maybe.

Hmmm ill have to look into it. Thank you, good to know it connects to non apple products without an issue :)

Yea. As long as your phone has Internet sharing. I've heard you have to have that as part of your plan. With me I didn't request having that, my phone just had it and it works. So I didn't ask any questions ha.

Called the service provider, had it activated. Restarted phone and iPad and still the same issue. I don't understand it. Both devices say connected but I can't get any internet requiring apps such as netflix or even safari. Grrr very frustrating.
