Motion JPEG2000 (.mj2) Codec
I work as a media archivist/developer and have been on the lookout for a Motion JPEG2000 Quicktime codec for quite some time with no luck. There are a number of PC codecs but none for a Mac. This Fall, at the university where I work, we're moving to the .mj2 as our standard capture/archival storage format and I think that they may take my G5 away. I've been using another wavelet transform codec from BitJazz called SheerVideo for much of my work but have been told that .mj2 is mandatory. The Library of Congress has just hired Media Matters LLC to migrate its massive collection of audio-visual material to .mj2.
Does anyone have any hot leads?
I can't bear the thought of using a Dell/Premiere for my work.
