How can you keep the caps lock on and not unlock after each letter?

Double tap the caps key. It should turn blue (with arrow symbol). That indicates caps lock is on and will stay on until you tap the key again of shift to numbers/symbols.

So if I am typing codes with mixed letters and numbers and the letters must all be capitalized how do I keep the Caps lock from going off after I type each number?

Unfortunately you can't. once you change the keyboard context, it reverts to lower case.

I don't suppose you happen to know if any apps can control this. I need to edit code which requires all Caps on letters and is mixed letters and numbers but haven't found a way to do this.

There are some plain text editors but this just doesn't work unless I can somehow lock letters into all CAPS

I'm not aware of an online keyboard that is available and can do this. Most likely it would need to be a function of the app itself (which can and sometimes do add functionlaity to the keyboard).

Wireless keyboard might handle that, if that's an option for you.

I work in IT myself, and IMHO the iPad isn't the ideal device for coding or scripting work.

Thanks for the info. I was looking for a way to use iPad and iPhone to do some simple edits mostly for g-code for CNC Machine Tools. I'll keep looking for apps.
