Hi Apple comunity. Please help me out. I am from south african andour bandwith is really bad. So my friend downloaded via their fast compnay conneciton the OSx MountainLion 10.8.0 using his apple ID. I did buy my own copy of the upgrade. But now when I want to run the 10.8.1 update via Apple store I get asked to login with his apple ID. How can I work around this? Can I change the OS authenciation ID somehow?

Sorry arthurvz but I guess there is a lesson in what you have done. All done with good intentions I know but it has now gone belly up! 👿 👿
Yea I was too clever... problem is now I can't download the my install form the app store either.. little bit in the poo here.
One option is to try the standalone update. It's only 25 MB. Another is to take your machine into your friend's business and DL the full installer using your AppleID, then quit the installer when it pops up for installing. That should fix your issue and make you independent again.
