Ipod Nano Keeps Shutting Off

Hopefully someone can help me. My ipod nano keeps shutting off when I press the center button. Specifcally it shuts off when I try to access the Music folder. Rather than going to the folder, it'll shut off and turn itself back on. I can sometimes get to the Music folder by having a playlist going and then try to get into the Music folder.

I'd like to fix this since I have podcasts and would like to actually access them. I've tried restarting and it hasn't worked.

Do you mean reset ( Knowledge Base Document #61705 on How to Reset iPod)?

You might want to try "The Five Rs" (Reset is the first; you might want to try it a couple of times).

Sorry, I should have used the right lingo. Yes, I meant reset. Resetting it doesn't appear to do anything and I did go through the five Rs.

One thing else to note, When I have "Music" highlighted and I press the play button, it starts to play all the songs in alphabetical order. I can't remember if it usually does this...but maybe this would be another sign of what's going on.

My iPod is having the exact same problem! I have found that if I restore the Ipod, it wont do it for a while... but when mine does it it seem s to have something to do with disconnecting it from the computer. I try to make sure to eject the iPod completely before unhooking it from the computer. But, even this sometimes doesnt work. I have had to restore my iPod about 15 times over the past week and a half to keep it working. I hope this helps!

Hey!
I have the same problem too. I might want to restore it, but if it keeps doing it all the time something's not normal. Mac is going to have to fix that bug.

When I click on Music, it just restarts. I can't listen to my music except in alphabetical order. That *****. I can only listen to Podcasts.
