Bootcamp 5.0 on Mac book pro 2012 Mac OS X 10.8

Hi, Thanks for your time guys, I am currently running on Mac OS 10.8 Mountain Lion with the Bootcamp assistant 5.0. I got up to the part where I had just installed Windows 7 but as of late, Apple stopped selling their macbook pros with the CD's which is required for the next step of installing drivers and having the features of a computer. Is there any alternative way that will fix this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You didn't look close enough during Boot Camp Assistant to check the box to download the software or read the rest of the instructions.

CDs were actually DVD anyway never was a CD - you can burn the support software to a CD though or flash memory. Most use flash USB stick and not a CD.

And Lion and ML don't come with discs anyway.

The Boot Camp Assistant can burn Boot Camp software (drivers) to a DVD or copy it to a USB storage device, such as a flash drive or hard drive. These are the only media you can use to install Boot Camp software.

My problem looked exactly as yours. Try to download the windows file again because it helped me. First I downloaded the file with secure download manager in mac but there was something wrong even though i got the .iso file. The installation stuck exactly at the same point as yours. I just downloaded the file again (with pc) and tried again.

I have exactly the same problem. Did you already solve it?

I'm actually having a similar problem, and I've seen many others complain about this throughout various releases of Boot Camp. When attempting to use the Boot Camp Assistant to download the support software, it quickly gets to about 20% and then just hangs, no matter how many hours I leave the program running for. I've searched all over but can't seem to find a reliable direct download, and don't believe that the drivers are included anywhere in the OSX Mountain Lion install, as I searched through most of the .dmg there. Anybody have any tips or soultions for us?

I just wanted to add to this discussion. About 3 to 5 months ago when I set up my Boot Camp partition under Lion using Windows 7 I was having a similar problem like many of you were having. I kept getting stuck going through the process of creating the install image from an ISO of Windows either on a DVD or USB. I was also not getting the proper download of the Windows bootcamp drivers. It was a huge mess. Nothing worked.

Boot camp may have been version 4 then, I'm not sure. However, on these boards someone posted an FTP link from Apple servers to download bootcamp again. It's out there. I don't know how to find it again, but now that I've let the cat out of the bag -- maybe someone can find it and post it here.

BTW, I'm using a new 2012 MacBook Air 13 -- less than a week old -- and I still had the same problems. I'm trying to do boot camp all over again because I didn't WinClone the boot camp partition before switching systems.

Thanks a million to Csound1 for the awesome help.

After using Bootcamp to install Windows 7 Professional Full retail version onto my mid 2010 MacBook Pro, no sound would come out. Also the image on the screen was widened, distorted and too light. Furthermore, none of the buttons along the top row of my keyboard worked. For example, the eject button, volume buttons and brightness buttons would not work. The kind and professional 1 to 1 tutor found Csound1's answer on this forum and applied it. And then the computer and Windows 7 Pro worked perfectly. Thanks so much to Apple 1 to 1 and to Csound1.

The following answer solved my problem:

In OSX, use Boot Camp Assistant to download the drivers (1st option after you start Boot Camp Assistant). Copy them to a FAT32 formatted USB stick. Boot into Windows, run setup.exe from the stick.
