Why is it that if I were to select the Harvard Outline, when I insert an image, no matter what, Pages forces the object to be inline, which makes it very annoying to try to fit and format images. What's the point? Is there any way around it?

What do you mean by "Harvard Outline". There is a Harvard List style, and there's an Outline view mode. There is no Harvard Outline that I am aware of.

There is a Harvard Outline template and surprise surprise it opens in Outline view. benjamin just hasn't switched out of the outline.
