EMAIL HEADERS WITHOUT CONTENT - HOW TO RID?

I posted details elasewhere but without sucess and I'm still trying . . .

I have a number of email headings in Mail which I can't open, and as well, I can't delete them! All I gsee is blank pages when clicking onthe headers. Does it mean that, somehow, I've deleted the actual content archived somewhere? If so, how do I delete those email headings from my list of emails in my inbox?

Neither solves the problem, seventy one. In all cases the page remains blank. I'm feeling certain that in deleting some content in the past from my MacPro drive when cleaning it out, I've inadvertently deleted the actual email content without deleting the headers.

If someone knows how to get to the where the email content is actually stored within the computer, maybe it would help . . . ? What I find really strange is the fact that I can't delete those headers and done with.

Apologies to you both, BD Aqua and Seventy One for late return. Been away. My provider (Virgin Media) is not to do with my email which is through Safari. However Virgin does keep all copies of my emails for one month before removal if I don't remove them beforehand and I usualy do. (I can use Virgin for emails or Safari - they're recorded by both progs.)

I've repaired and verified Permissions as well as verified the disk. NBG.

I'm convinced I've deleted the email contents myself when clearing out stuff from the main drive in the past but how to delete the headers that are remaining . . . ?

I can't even move the headers to Draft. They remain fixed where they are with just one indication of difference and that is they are shown in pink colour - although so are some others that can be opened!

I'm stumped.

Yes. I gave false info . . . I'm using Virgin Mail which allows for a separate copy to always automatically be kept for at least 30 days on the actual Virgn Media Mail box. However, I'm convinced that the problem has arisen through my deletion of some parts related to my Mail on my main drive. I can remember clearing out a number of items and the trouble has arisen since then. It hasn't happened to any subsequent emails, just the few following my erroneous action.

If I can be advised on how to delete the headers by using a similar means (which I can't possibly remember) I feel sure it will be the answer.

I think we're going to have to find these in the Finder & try trashing one there for a test.

Hopefully the header has a Date & Time to narrow it down.

EDIT: Quit Mail.

I'd get EasyFind...
