iOS 5.1.1 screenshots

I have iOS 5.1.1 and cannot take screenshots. How do I take screenshots now?

iPad 2, iOS 5.1.1

Simultaneously press the on / off switch and the center home button. You will notice an on-screen flash. If you have sound enabled, you will hear a camera click.

While holding the On button down, press the Home button. You should hear a camera shutter sound. The screen shot will be in the Photo app.

As a note, pressing the home button and the wake.sleep button at the same time for a scrrenshot stopped working once I upgraded to iOS 5.1.1.

Two possibilities:

You are not getting the sequence quite right (On button first, hold, then the home button). It can be a little tricky.
you need to do a reset on the iPad. Simultaneously hold down the On andnHome buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it should appear. After the iPad is completely shut down, turn it back on.
