I am editing a 90 minute video with multiple video and audio cuts. When I play it in FCP all is fine; however when I export a Quicktime movie or even just one of the sound tracks to consolidate, the sound becomes progressively out of sync with the video. Does anybody have a clue to what's going on or how to fix this? Thanks for any help.

How was the sound recorded? What are its specs as well as those of your sequence?
There are multiple sound tracks taken from various sources: music, sound effects, dialogue, etc. However, the majority of the sound is 16-bit 48 kHz ,aif/.aiff files that have been processed through FCP as clips. The clips play fine. And all the clips and sound play fine in FCP, however when I exported a sound only track (90 minute) or export the entire video (90 minute), the sound becomes progressively out of sync.

ALL of the material needs to be in that format.
Also, what are the codecs of the sequence and material?

The video is HDV 1080p24, vid rate 23.98 fps, the majority of the audo is 48 kHz 16-bit rate.
I'll say it again. Every bit of the audio should be AIFF 48/16. What isn't, should be converted.
Are you editing the material in a sequence with ProRes as the compressor codec? If not, try that.
