Look in your owner's manual and Apple will explain how to clean the exterior of your machine. If you cannot locate your manual then please click the Manuals link and download a copy. If you are referring to the a system clean up the BEST thing you can do is keep your system up-to-date using Software Update. DO NOT purchase third party apps to do system clean ups, they are unnecccessary and your system will run at it's best if you leave it alone or do simple upgrades such as RAM upgrades. Please look over:

Soapy Water IS NOT RECOMMENDED. If your screen needs cleaning a Damp cloth well wrung out is recommended with Water only.

Only Applications that are offered through the Mac App's Store are recommended. Do Not USe Third Party Apps.

Like MacKeeper, or any other Aplication by third party Companies like Trend Micro, McAfee or any of the hundreds of others . They do more harm than Good.

Come to these forums if you have questions you are not sure of.

Cheers, and Welcome to the Discussions.
