How do I restore "Confirm Before Deleting" screen

I accidently checked the box that says "don't ask this question again" before I delete a song from a playlist. How do I restore the question so that I don't accidently delete a song that I don't want to?

How to restore your Preferences Dialog Boxes and/or
your Source Pane: User uploaded file
Scott P.: My Source List is missing (or,
resetting the prefs)

Please help and clarify: if I follow the above to restore my "confirm before deleting," will the restoring of default preferences recheck every song in my library? (My wife and I sync two different ipods to different songs via checked/unchecked songs in playlists).

Thanks!

No rebuilding/recreating the Pref file in iTUnes will have no affect on songs you have checked and unchecked. All of that is part of the iTunes Library file not the Pref file. I have rebuild my Pref file before in iTUnes and all songs I had unchecfked stayed unckecked.

When you delet the Pref files as described in Scott P's post, then you open iTUnes, iTUnes throws up a setup screen just like it did when you first installed iTunes on the PC. THis process helps iTUnes build a new Pref File.
