Hmm. Does the player have separate audio and video inputs? If not you'd need a three-circuit plug at each end. Also, the three circuits need to be assigned to the same pins at each end (IThey sort of have to be, but who knows?). Possibly, a camcorder A/V mini-to-mini cable would work, if available. Else two mini-to-RCA cables back-to-back via three RCA female-to-female extenders. Oy weh.

Otherwise, you need a two-circuit RCA-to-mini adapter for audio and a single circuit RCA-to-mini adapter for video. That's the way my player works.

Added info. I got my cables and ohmmeter out.

If you have a three-circuit mini jack on your player, a single mini-to-mini cable probably won't work, sorry.

Try two mini-plug-to-three-RCA cables back to back, with three female-to-female RCA couplers, BUT connect the RCA plugs this way: white to white, red to yellow , and yellow to red. If you use one camcorder cable and one Apple cable then the plug colors should match: Y-Y, R-R, W-W (but I'm getting dizzy!).

Well, that's the way my camcorder cable and my iPod cable are wired - YMMV, so check it out.

Even if your player doesn't require a single three-circuit plug, your camcorder probably does, so the above info is useful if you are trying to copy from the iPod to a tape.

To be explicit: the free end of the mini plug for the iPod goes to white, then red, then ground, then yellow at the cable end. For my camcorder cable (an old Sony digital), it is white - yellow - ground - red, from free end to cable end. The iPod cable is more logical, since a stereo audio cable will work for an audio-only connection to the iPod, but not to a camcorder. BTW, a second cancorder A/V cable I found in a box is just like the Sony.
