My IPad is disabled because I forgot my password. On the screen it says "connect to Itunes". But I do not have a backup in ITunes either. Is there a way I can reset the password without loosing the data on my Ipad?

Did you backup with iCloud?
There is no way to clear a screenlock password without restoring. If you do not have a backup of your data, either on a computer or in iCloud, then you have no option other than to lose your data.

No, I do not have a backup in ICloud either. Is there a way I can do a backup using the AppleID and Password either on ICloud or Itunes?
Someone suggested that I just leave the IPad undisturbed for a few days and then it will let me try few more passwords. Is that right? (Kids were playing with the Ipad and forgot the new password they put in).
It will normally show you for how many hours it will be locked before you can attempt a passcode again. Every failed attempt increases the time before you can make another attempt, so you can quickly get to the point where it will be locked for longer than your lifetime. Whether things stand on the iPad right now I obviously can't say since I can't see it. It's certainly worth trying, though; you can't be in any worse of a situation that you are now.

If it says connect to itunes as the other poster mentioned above then there is no other way. If it gives you a time then you need to wait before attempting, but if you can't remember the passcode you will need to restore
