Thanks, but no help at all......I have never had an issue syncing TV shows that I bought on iTunes to my iTouch...no warning or any other message is popping up. It just does not sync.

The only thing I tried from that article was:

"Using iTunes: Select a video and choose Advanced > Create iPod or iPhone Version"

That was not an option for me....it was light grey so I cound not even click on it.

It's on your computer's iTunes.  When the iPod is connected, first select the iPod itself in the pane on the left-hand side.

Then select the TV Shows tab at the top.

Just spent a day with similar, if not the same problem.  Purchased 2 episodes of Battlestar Galactica from iTunes, downloaded to my iTunes, tried to sync them to my iPod Touch and iPad (gen1) and got the dreaded message they could not be sync'd.  Tried to convert them using Handbrake, iTunes, and VLC, and could not touch them other than to play.  I then tried to download them directly to the iPod and iPad from the "Purchased" selection on the iTunes Store App.  This worked.  Simple solution to your problem, assuming you have access to wifi, and do not regularly sync your device.

Problem is, as soon as you try another sync, iTunes removes the file from your iPod or iPad.  I sync podcasts several times a week, so did not stop here.

Solved this problem too.  The solution is convoluted.

    1.  In iTunes on your computer, delete the original files downloaded to iTunes.

    2.  Download the files directly to iPad or iPod from iTunes Store App

    3.  Connect device to iTunes on your computer, select "Manually manage music and videos" under the Summary tab for your device in iTunes (this will result in "Sync..." for Music, TV Shows, Movies, and Books to be unchecked).

    4.  Sync your device.  iTunes will now copy the file from the iPod to iTunes, and leave it on your iPod

    5.  Uncheck "Manually manage music and videos" on the Summary page (message comes up warning iTunes will now sync using your library).

You can now configure your Music, TV Shows, Movies, and Books "Sync" selections.  Be sure the file you have been chasing is checked.

The files now seem to be fixed, as everything works as expected.

I was having a similar problem getting videos to sync to my ipad (original version).  These are videos that have been on my ipad before so I know the format is okay.  The sync said it was working, and if I looked on my ipad through iTunes it said it was there - but no videos would show after the ipad synced.

I searched my ipad for one of the videos and then all of a sudden all the videos were showing.

I just had this problem today.

In my case, all my most recent downloaded TV shows would sync just fine--I already made sure my iPod was configured to sync TV shows, so no problems there--it was just the oldest series in my library that for some reason would not sync.

I nearly embarked on the complicated solution that bgeemac suggested, but then I made one last desperate attempt to fix it the easy way. I just went into the TV Shows folder in my library, made sure the episodes I wanted were checked, highlighted them and dragged them directly over to lefthand side of the screen where my iPod's name appeared to indicate it was plugged in. Lo and behold, it began to sync them immediately, and I avoided a lot of pain!

This is a frustrating thing to happen, so I hope you can fix it!
