Safari image issue- default size too small

Just had my OS upgraded to 10.6.8 and Safari to 5.05.

Cannot figure out how to increase the default size of Safari web pages.

I know that I can zoom in on each page, but would prefer to change the default.

I have searched, but have been unsuccesful.

Any advice on how to do this? Thx
