SSD Advice

Hi mac users,

My mbp 2011 decided to kill it's hdd after only 4000 hours of work, so I need a replacement. I have a budget of 250€ and I want to buy an SSD. I want the ssd because of it's speed, but I also need storage space, but a big ssd is too expensive.

I have been thinking on this 2 options:

1. Spend all money on ocz vertex 4 256 gb

2. Get an 128 gb vertex 4 + a big hdd that it will be mounted in optibay.

What do you think I should do?

Thank you.

You have another option which is to get the SSD and gte an external HDD for files you don't use as frequently. Such as large films you only watch occasionally. then you can keep your disk drive

I personally wont go back to HDD now I have had SSD and I am lucky as I use sod all in the way of storage however whether or not YOU should go for your first option depends on how much stuff you want to keep 🙂
