CUDA & XCode

Hello there!
I've just gotten to 'the dark side' with a rMBP, and I'm new to both OSX and Cuda programming.

I've been able to install Cuda correctly on my computer, but I'm not sure how to develop Cuda software with XCode.

Is there a better IDE?? Are there any suggestions on using XCode correctly for CUDA?

Thanks in advance!

Is it missing something? CUDA is not designed for Xcode, so if you want to run it from within Xcode, you will probably have to do it yourself. If there were any sample projects they have long since stopped working and haven't been updated. If you are working with such open-source packages, you can always setup a Makefile-based project and use Xcode only as an IDE for editing files.

That is what I'm saying. It may have worked out of the box in 2008, but not today. Such is the way with third party Mac vendors. You can build your own, modern pure Xcode project if you want. It may be like the model ship that contains a block of wood and instructions to carve away every part that does not resemble the USS Constitution.

You are more likely to get command-line makefiles working. Those can be easily converted to makefile-based Xcode projects for the best of both worlds.
