Hi I am trying to get Folder Action to work... Even if action is attached to a folder as shown below nothing happens when files copied to "programming" folder?

On ML 10.8.1, I have created a new empty folder called Actions, and through the services menu item, selected Folder Actions setup ...
Then, I chose "add - new item alert.scpt," and then enabled each check box just as you have done.
I did not choose to edit the alert.scpt item.
When I drag and drop a new file (in this case, a PDF file) into this folder, I get the expected functional alert pop-up:

Found out, last night, if you create new user and logon to new user folder action works! So it looks like my profile is somehow damaged. I have now to find a way of transferring my profile to new user?
really! well let me know how it goes before i start trying to do all that and le tme know wha you had to do to get it working thanks i will be waiting!
Just to let you know. I just created another user account and logged in and try the simple alert script and nothing it still didn't work so let me know what you come up with thanks
Did you create user with admin rights?.....All I know is that it worked in my case. Might be worth trying one of the other scrips in your case.
Yeah I gave it admin rights and tried a few scripts nothing worked for me.
Was able to fix this problem without recreating user profile by deleting files below from /Users/USER NAME/Library/Preferences and letting system recreate them
dang it! i wish it was that easy for me. it did ntot work for me i deleted them and then did an action and the files were created back but still not working i am out of options i guess!
for me the issue is slightly strange.. it doesnt work most of the time but sporadically it does trigger 😕
anyone figure this out yet mine still doesnt work what so ever?
Deleting the plist files did nothing for me either. Has this bug been reported to Apple?
