Install of Bootcamp - 10go necessary, I have 17, but it doesn't work

hello,

i would like a little help. I'm trying to install bootcamp, but when I try, I have a message saying Bootcamp needs at least 10go free space and so, it can not work. Problem is I have more than 17go free, so what can I do??

thanks in advance,

Windows 7 needs 40-60GB AND you need 30GB or so for Mac.

So really need more like 80GB minimum. 10GB - you are readinig about Windows XP, not 7.

Windows Partition Size:
20GB size for Windows 7 64-bit is the core size

What it does not say is all the other things that go on TOP of that.

10GB for all the updates.

SSD will need 10% for BGC and TRIM

page is usually way too large today

hibernation - got 16GB? then that file will be 16GB

cache

temp

programs

account profile (3GB is not unusual)

thank you for the answer,

Well, I think I will empty my drive a little bit so. 80 gb will be a lot to find but, I'll try.

All I want is to run autocad on my mac, and running windows seems to be the only reliable way to do it.

I'd like to install windows xp but, which one is the best? xp or 7? If you know something, I'll be glad to know 😉

XP is not supported if you have 10.6.x or later.
