the weather app wont work
The weather app keeps saying "unavailable" or "update failed" no matter what I do. Please help

because if you don't have internet then it will fail to get weather info

yes everything else works and when I deleted all my cities to try and reload them nothing will load. it's driving me mad. everyone else here is having the same problem so is it an iphone problem or yahoo??? thanks for trying to help!
I have the same problem with my iPhone 5. It worked for awhile, but for at least the last 2 weeks, my weather won't update when it's not on WiFi. I just updated to iOS 6.0.2 and still no joy.

It sporadically happens. You just wait for Yahoo to straighten out whatever issues they are having.
does yahoo even know about this issue?
They must, after awhile they will generally have it working again.
In the meantime try a Reset: Hold down the sleep and power buttons, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons.
I've done multiple restores and it still won't work over the cell network. More of my friends with different iPhones have noticed the same problem. I spoke to Apple for 1.5hrs last week and the guy had never heard of the issue before which resulted in doing my first restore, which ended up working for a few minutes.
Try the Reset I suggested above to chenzilla. If that doesn't work you might want to get a replacement nanoSIM.
so deggie you think its the nano sim thats causing this issue?
cause i have did a reset to my phone millions of times and that doesnt seem to fix this bug
