Q: iphone 4s without SIM card

I have an iphone 4s that does not have a sim card. I am currently under contract with Verizon to a two-year contract. Without a sim card, what are my options with this phone after the contract expires?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

If you are under contract, why do you not have a sim card?  If you are not in the US, then the iPhone is basically an iPod Touch.  If you need a sim card, stop by a Verizon store.  After the contract expires...  you are basically stuck with Verizon unless you can ask them to unlock it.
