screen went blank with nothing could still play the tune that was already there

What do you mean by the screen went blank? Is it a white screen or totally dark screen. So you are saying even though the screen dark, it will still play music?

the screen was white but all graphics went, it still played songs but i had no idea where i was in the menu.
the next morning i turned it on and all was back to normal,what i think i'd done was leave it on pause for 2 or 3 days
would this effect it?
It's still working O.K so this hopefully has saved me £100+.
It shouldn't have. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but I'll have my fingers crossed for you that it doesn't happen again. 😝
