They sale genuine new and used adapters that would work with your iBook.

OK, wasn't sure about that.

Created a post but can't figure out how to get the animated gifs to work. They look fine until I post, then the blue background ruins the color and they don't animate. 😠

I upload animations to an online storage site (usually Photobucket), and they will work.

There is some monkeying that will get them to work in subsequent posts in the thread when uploaded from your hard drive, but I know of no way to get animations directly from your hard drive to work in the original post of a thread.
