If there is something you do not understand, please elaborate on what you don't understand exactly.

Thank you, that is the best guide I've seen to date, but still no success.
When I try to share, I get "the server responded with an error"
Also is there anyway I can view this calendar myself?

I don't have a domain set up on OSXServer I just have server.myserver.private. I have no mail services at server.myserver.private. I uses email@example.com (a different server) as the email address in the setup process.
When I go to share the calendar it requires a valid email address, rather than firstname.lastname@example.org, so I enter my email address as a test, I try many other email addresses too but the server responds with an error stating " (email adress) was not recognized by the server. A new invitation has not been sent.

Multiple calendars can be hosted by the Calendar server.
In order to use them you should grant access to the Calendar service to a user by right clicking the user in Server.app's user section, choose edit access to services and check the Calendar option.
Then you can open Calendar (for Mountain Lion) or iCal (for Lion or earlier) on the client and press command + comma to enter the preferences, go to Accounts and add an account.
