iPad will not sync

I have been trying to sync my new iPad with my PC, but it hung halfway through the first sync, and now it hangs every time I try to sync on the first file it tries to transfer, whether that is a book or song. I eventually get an error message saying the file cannot be written, and then Sync hangs on 'Finishing Sync' on iTunes but the iPad Sync symbol disappears and no error message comes up on the iPad if I disconnect.


Have reset the iPad 3 times, Restored twice and re-installed iTunes. Any help very gratefully received.
