Thanks

This is probably the reason, does it happen when you move the mac or knock it??
Forgot to say the click is probably the HDD heads locking because its detedcted movement. Mine does it too when its moved.
Hope this helps
It happens when it is just sitting on the desk. Is it normal?
If it is the motion sensor causing it then its normal, sometimes if i press the keys a bit quick or to hard it will do it.
Try turning the motion sensor off for a bit and see if the noise stops.
To turn off go to the terminal and type sudo pmset -a sms 0
To turn back on use the same command but change the 0 for a 1
Then try it for a bit and see if the click has stopped. If it has you know it is the motion sensor parking the HDD because its detected movement,
Let me know how you get on.
I will try this and see if it's that. Thanks.
I shut it off, but the sound is still happening. I am bringing it to the Apple store tomorrow very annoying since I just bought this on Saturday.
So, it turned back on, and I went to the store. They said it was the optical drive and reset the power profile, but it is still doing it!!
