wheel don't work on iPod
Wheel on Ipod will not work is there a way to fix this technically or do I have to check the software on the Ipod?

What have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting? If nothing else, work through each of the 5 R's of troubleshooting for your iPod to rule out the possibility of any sort of software error/glitch or data corruption.

Otherwise, you have a hardware issue, meaning you'll need to either take or send your iPod in for service/replacement either via Apple or a third party service.
