Mountain Lion slows down my iMac .
iMac 27 inch late 2009
3.06 GHz intel core 2 Duo
My computer was working really well despite its age until I installed the new Mountain Lion.
Now I find that it is much slower .
The main problem is between stiching from one programme or another I get the spinning wheel for maybe 10-15 seconds,
even switching between tabs in web browser .
Any genius to help with this problem ¿?¿?¿??¿

iMac, Mac OS 8.6 or Earlier
1. Open Disk Utility and repair permissions
2. Open Finder and delete the folder content:
/Library/Caches
~/Library/Caches
3. See if Spotlight has finished indexing data
4. Press Shift key in boot and restart your Mac
doing the repair permissions at the moment .........

Select Go > Go to Folder. ~ is /Users/user, user is your username

When in finder, on The menu bar (the menu bar is where it has the apple icon in the top left hand corner of your screen, with finder and file and edit etc to the left ) click on "go", then click on "go to folder" then type "~/Library" (without "")and you will see caches in there.

Delete the content of those folders
