disable backup password?

are you talking about the backup password in itunes

You must delete the backup completely from your computer by going to the folder it is in, then uncheck Encrypt Backup in iTunes. If your phone has a corporate MS Exchange email account on it you may not be able to disable the backup password, as your IT department may have added a security policy as part of the Exchange setup that requires a backup password.

it doesz not work the uncheck box is still unselecteble

For me, I had to go into the Settings App on my iPhone (4s), go to General, Profiles, and delete whatever you have there. It might not be a bad idea to download the iPhone Configuration Utility (from Apple) so you can save your profile before you delete it.

Then I went into the phone's info page in iTunes, and the box was uncheckable.
