MS Office doesn't open in Mountain Lion
I just upgrade to Mountain Lion 10.8.1 and MS Office doesn't open anymore.
What can I do?

What version of MS Office? Older versions will not work with ML.
You will need to be running Office for OS X 2008 or newer. Older versions were powerpc code, which does not run under Lion or Mountain Lion.
Office 2011.
When I upgrade to Mountain Lion, Office worked ok, but with the last upgrade MS Office died.

That shouldn't be. My office 2008 worked fine with 10.8 and still works fine after 10.8.1.
Do you get any error message when trying to open word, excel or powerpoint?
Yes, the message ...Microsoft Excel has detected problems and need to close
It's weird, I never had problems before with mac
Post your question on Microsoft's own forums for their Mac software, as it's their stuff you're having issues with:
I hate those completely vague MS error messages! I'm guessing that a simple system restart did not fix it?
Templeton's answer may be your best option, as it is almost certainly an MS Office (or just an excel) issue, not an OS X issue.

I will try this way
Delete the old icons for all Microsoft Office products then use the new icons that came with the Microsoft update.. This should fix the prob.
Can you elaborate on what you did to solve this? I'm having the same issue.
