Play a different song from each earbud?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if it was possible to play a different song from each earbud. I need to figure out how to do so for a school project.

In one earbud, I'd like to have "I Want to Hold Your Hand" by the Beatles playing. In the other earbud, I'd like "Can't Buy Me Love" by the Beatles playing. Both earbuds must be playing the full song, and not just certain instruments of it.

I then need to create a MP3/MP4 file of this combination and add it to my iPhone.

If this is possible, please inform me how to do so! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Best,

JEP

It's called "stereo".

You need to convert both songs from stereo to a mono channel (although if these are original Beatles recordings, chances are good they already are :) and then combine them into a single music stream, one song in the "left" channel and the other in the "right" one.

Not very interesting for developers, as there are tons of free software to do this. Use Google to find something appropriate.
