Q: I am unable to load .mp4 or .mov (H264) videos directly onto my iPad via iTunes.
I have been trying to get a .mov and a .mp4 (both compressed with the H264 codec) onto my iPad 3, via iTunes. iTunes keeps throwing up an error message, saying the iPad can't play these formats, so it refuses to copy the video across.
The videos play out fine in the iTunes Movies panel - but the video won't sync from there to my iPad either.
It's quite frustrating, as I was under the impression that .mp4 and .m4v files were Apple friendly. Any helpful pointers would be gratefully recieved.
