iMac stays in gray apple screen and doesn't start up

My G5 is staying in the gray apple screen and doesn't start up. It goes black and beginngs the gray apple screen again.

Any help is appreciated.

Mac OS version?

The OS version is found by doing "About this Mac" from your Apple menu.
