Since upgrading to mountain lion, I cannot send e-mail. I've been on the phone several times with an Apple tech and each time after he resets different things it may work for a few hours or a day or two and then stop working. He and I both are frustrated

Since upgrading to mountain lion, I cannot send e-mail. I've been on the phone several times with an Apple tech and each time after he resets different things it may work for a few hours or a day or two and then stop working. He and I both are frustrated. I get mail just fine and I can send mail from my IPAD. He says no one else has called him with this problem.


Do you have any clues?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)
