i have some problem with my macbook air someone try to type the password wrong for more time and i have message the system is locked enter the pin code to unlocked your Mac

i had the same issue, i just typed 123456 ..and it worked.
Really? I thought it's usually a 4 digit pin. Or you talking about the firmware password?
Yes, i got the same massege as the OP while updating from lion to mountain lion :enter the pin code to unlocked your Mac .. i tried my usual password didnt work. so, i tried "123456" and it successfully rebooted to the installation screen. not sure weather it is the frimware pin code or not, but i am sure it was a 6 digits pin.
I tried entering 123456 but it did not work for me. I tried to follow the "How to: Unlock System Lock PIN Code" and its blocked. Anyone know why or what I can do to unblock it?
