Q: When I open Photo Booth, the green light next to my camera comes on and the window opens to where I can see pictures I've already taken, but the actual camera/display is stuck on the loading wheel.

Everything appears to be functioning but the actual camera refuses to load. I have restarted my computer and upgraded to the most recent version of Mountain Lion, though my photo booth has worked since the switch, and I'm not sure what else to do at this point. Any ideas?

I do not use Mountain Lion therefore, unknown how their preferences are mapped.  If possible, do the following...

HomeIcon.png/Library/Preferences - trash the Photobooth.plist file.  Restart your computer.  If Photobooth is working correctly, empty the trash.  A new plist file will be recreated.

Try the suggestions mentioned in the article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090 if the above does not work.
