If you are troubleshooting and want to a reset to correct an issue, simply hold down the on and home buttons simultaneously until the iPad shuts down. Then turn on the iPad. This will not delete any data or settings.
If you want to reset the iPad in terms of wiping data, setting, etc., open the settings app, select General, then scroll down until you see the Reset button.

Aug 28, 2012 4:28 PM in response to Mohri257by Demo,Looking at the link that brought to this discussion site ... If you want to erase the device in order to restore as new or restore from an iCloud backup - go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings.
