I just bought a second hand ipod, but i have all my songs and apps on my iTunes from my last iPod. If I sync it, will the songs go on the new ipod, or will they be deleted as the new iPod is blank? What about pictures? The old owner left some pictures on my iPod, will they be deleted if I sync my iPod because that would be good, I wouldn't want their pictures. Help!

I would restore the iPod to factory settings/new iPod and sync you media to the iPod. That will erase the iPod.

It will only erase the iPod. However, unexpected things do happen so you should always have a backup of your iTunes library (and other important files).
