Getting Sound Out of Classic
G5, Mac OS X (10.4.5)
G5, Mac OS X (10.4.5)
I just got a new G5 and installed Classic. Now I
can't get any audio from any Classic apps or from the
OS itself.
I noticed I don't even have a "sound"
control panel in Classic mode. Is this strange?
I
seem to remember having one when I used this same
setup with my G4. Do I need to download any drivers
for my soundcard? What if I just want the sound out
of the computer output? Any help is great!
I think we've identified the source of your
problem... assuming that you mean that you can't get
sound out of OS X.
No. You should have a few sound-related items in the
Extensions folder (Sound Manager, SoundSprocket
Filter, Speakable Items, Speech Manager, Speech
Recognition, perhaps a few others) but there needn't
be any sound-related control panels.
