Batch script commands to pause /stop all downloads or kill iTunes at a specified time?

I'm using iTunes 10.6.3.25 on Win XP 32bit SP3 to download series of lectures from iTunesU.

My ADSL is metered 08:00 to 23:00 but overnight I there are no restrictions or throttling.

What do I need to include in a batch script (to be run from task scheduler) to pause downloads or stop iTunes

iTunes isn;t run as a service so can't net stop "iTunes"

I don't care if it's a particularly clean solution eg killing the iTunes process, disconnecting the LAN port, ADSL .... as long as it stops downloads.

Any help would be appreciated

Many thanks

It's OK I found the taskkill command.

Call a batch file from Schedules task with the command:

taskkill /im itunes.exe /f

It's not a very clean solution (tested it and need to re-subscribe or refetch some leectures) but better than being throttled for going over my allowance.
