iBook sync

My iBook in iPad 2 does not sync to my iPhone 4 I have iOS 5.1.1 and have iCloud account

iPad 2, iOS 5.1, 32 gb white color

I believe you have to have the newest update iOS6.0 on the devices you want to sync
