Can you purchase movies on apple tv in the UK ?

I recently purchased 2 movies on my apple tv, when I selected the movie I was given the option to rent it or purchase it, after I purchased it I noticed that next to the movie it now says 'Get Film', which is odd as it normally it should say something like 'play'. Today I done some research and noticed that people are saying you can only purchase movies in the US, I looked on the UK apple website and they don't mention that you can purchase movies on apple tv in uk. I think that when iv been playing these purchased movies iv been charged th rental price after looking on my bank statement, is this true though, can someone tell me if iv actually purchased the movies or not ?
